Abstract Geometric Mixed Media Art by Arlyne Charlip

Abstract geometric formations and bold, explosive bursts of color figure prominently in San Francisco Bay Area artist Arlyne Charlip’s unique mixed media art pieces. At once seemingly organic ,synthetic and strangely familiar, the images in her work inhabit a realm where nature and technology almost mystically intersect. The enigmatic quality of the pieces, as well as the palette that Charlip employs and her use of shape and space, create a sense of wonder for the viewer. What exactly is being depicted here? A heretofore undiscovered landscape feature?  A radical expression of the golden ratio?
